St Luke’s is a growing and welcoming church situated in the city of Portsmouth

St Luke’s has been here in the heart of Portsmouth serving this community for over 170 years. Now it is the oldest building left in the city centre. The building is still standing though our doors are closed for now because of the pandemic. However the church remains alive and well. St Luke’s vision is to be at the heart of the community, whether you express a faith or not. A place with visible connection and meaning to those who live, work or study in this part of the city. To welcome radically. A community where social cohesion is a reality. A community that offers practical help for those who are vulnerable or struggling to flourish. A place of permanence, rootedness and spiritual rest.A place to question. A place to grow. A place to recover. A place to return home One of our core values is to be with people not do things to people To listen to the voices of those who live and work and study here
