St Mary's church, Wenvoe

St Mary's church, Wenvoe

Wales

The church of St Mary’s is a Grade 2* listed building located in the centre of Wenvoe where people have gathered to worship since the 12th century.

In 1064 history recorded the earliest church in Wenvoe. St Mary’s serves the Anglican congregation providing weekly services, baptisms, weddings and funerals. Reaching out to the wider community the church has close links with the village school and is a focal point for annual commemorative community events. Dating from the 12th century St Mary’s has been well maintained and improved with 17th, 19th and 20th century alterations. Whilst continuing the work of caring for the building, our vision is to improve St Mary’s to meet the needs of a 21st century community. By supporting St Mary’s you will be contributing to the local heritage and enabling this ancient parish church to continue its important part in village life for future generations.
