The mission of The League of Friends of Lymington New Forest Hospital is to provide extra care and amenities for the patients and staff at the hospital and to purchase medical and other equipment when this is not available through normal NHS channels. The League is a voluntary organisation, managed by a board of trustees who bring a wide range of expertise and experience from commercial, medical and professional walks of life The day to day staffing of the Friends’ shop, coffee bar, trolley and library service to the wards together with the hospital guiding service is done by a team of volunteers who are recruited, supported and managed by the trustees. We currently have over 70 volunteers. The Friends have been helping the local hospital in Lymington, its patients and staff for over 60 years and we are committed to continue our support to the Lymington New Forest Hospital
