On Sunday 26 April, when the London Marathon was scheduled to take place, the 2.6 challenge national campaign will be launched ‘to help save the UK’s Charities’ from the £4billion black hole created by Covid-19.
The Ruth Strauss Foundation provides emotional support for families and their children to prepare for the death of a parent from cancer - and helps to drive much needed research into non-smoking related lung cancers, to which Ruth ultimately lost her life.
On and around Sunday 26th April, the UK’s Charities have been given the opportunity to challenge the public to an activity around 2.6 or 26 to raise funds for their own causes.
In support of this initiative, we are delighted to have Sir Andrew kick-off the #RSF26challenge with the support of a host of sporting legends doing their bit.
Please join the challenge! We are asking everyone – and in particular families – to film themselves keeping the ball in the air for 26 taps without dropping it. You can choose anything for your bat and ball, for example: potato and saucepan, orange and TV remote – anything goes!
PLEASE act now to help to save the UK’s charities; Text to Donate, film and share your own ball-tap challenge, and nominate 6 friends to keep the campaign going.
Thank you and good luck!
