Toucan for Children provides a therapeutic service to improve vulnerable children’s mental health and wellbeing through play and creative arts.
At Toucan we support young people between 4 and 13 years old who are suffering, or at risk of suffering, mental health difficulties. Since 2010 we have helped nearly 500 children and their families overcome those difficulties.
Toucan for Children supports children and young people who are experiencing emotional difficulties in their lives through providing therapeutic services using play and creative arts. Based in Gloucestershire we offer play therapy at our centre in Mitcheldean and outreach work in schools.
Mental health problems affect 1 in 8 children and young people, which may result in depression, anxiety and often conduct disorder. The team of therapists at Toucan offer children a safe place to explore and work-through those feelings and behaviours that are causing upset and difficulties in their lives.
