Veterans at Ease, helping veterans and their families deal with post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) and other combat stress related issues.
Veterans at Ease is the North East's leading military mental health charity. We provide therapy support to serving military personnel (including reservists) and veterans who are struggling mentally. We also support immediate family members who are struggling living with someone with PTSD or other mental health issues.
Established in 2010, our aims and objectives have only ever been to support members of the armed forces community and on occasions other uniformed services. In 2016 our work was recognised by HM The Queen, by way of us being the first military charity in the UK to receive the Queen's Award for Voluntary Services, in recognition of our outstanding contribution to the local community.
