Vinters Valley Nature Reserve is a local wildlife oasis
Vinters Valley Park Trust manages 90 acres of land, leased from Kent County and Maidstone Borough Councils, which was previously part of a large 18th century country estate. Tucked away between two housing estates, a school and the M20, the nature reserve comprises of a variety of habitats attracting many species of insects, butterflies, animals and birds. Visitors love feeding and watching the variety of ducks and geese on the lake.
However, it is only through the support of the local community and Boxley Parish Council that this peaceful wildlife oasis is accessible for everyone to enjoy. A part time warden is employed to maintain the reserve aided by many volunteers under the guidance of the management committee and Trustees.
