The Academy of Ancient Music (AAM) is an orchestra with a worldwide reputation for excellence in baroque and classical music.

The AAM aims to enhance people’s lives by sharing high quality early music using historically informed techniques and period-specific instruments. Our mission is to explore, preserve and reveal this rich repertoire for as wide an audience as possible, in the concert hall, through recordings and through our education and outreach programme, AAMplify. We have toured on every continent except Antarctica and we are the most listened-to period instrument ensemble online, with over a million monthly listeners on streaming service, Spotify. We are passionate about the music we perform and our work is underpinned by rigorous scholarship which we illustrate for our audiences in online films, programmes and pre-concert talks.
