Update 27th March 2020
We are delighted that the government has announced a financial support package for those that are self-employed. This will be a huge relief to our musicians, but will not come in to effect until June. Our Musicians’ Support fund remains vital in providing additional help to our musicians in the best way possible.
It is a very precarious time for freelance performers. All concert performances and other work have been cancelled which means the AAM’s world-class musicians face having no income in the coming weeks.
We are doing our best to support our musicians right now. We have committed to covering players’ concert fees in full through March, to late April. However, with your help, we can do more.
AAM couldn’t produce superb concerts, critically acclaimed recordings, and provide music for millions of listeners all around the world without our brilliant musicians; and right now they need our support.
We have set up a fund to provide additional direct financial support to our musicians. Our initial target is £25,000 and we hope you will get behind this.
If you enjoy and value the work that we do, please give what you can. Any amount, no matter how small, will be hugely appreciated.
On behalf of our musicians, THANK YOU for your support.
