Cheshire Dance exists to ensure everyone has access to dance and can benefit from its transformative power. An award-winning national leader in dance, health and wellbeing with a 40+ year history in tackling inequalities through dance, Cheshire Dance creates opportunities for people of all ages, abilities and backgrounds to engage in the art form and to benefit from its transformative power.
A principal focus of the organisation is to ensure that older adults, particularly those that are vulnerable, isolated or living with challenging health or mental conditions can access the art form within their local communities.
As a team, we strive to contribute to the improvement of health related quality of life, with our participants reporting improved physical strength, balance & motor skills, spatial awareness, and mobility to help prevent falls.
What's more, through dance, our participants have come to enjoy regular social interaction with others, a sense of belonging and connection with the community, and an overall boost in their emotional wellbeing.
If you would like to support our work with older adults in Cheshire West and Cheshire East, please consider donating either a one off amount or a regular payment. All funds will go directly to our projects and will help to ensure that we can support our local communities through dance.
