DKMS launched in February 2013 with a mission to delete blood cancer.

DKMS is part of an international network of charities that have recruited over 5 million potential blood stem cell donors worldwide. Every 20 minutes someone in the UK is diagnosed with a blood cancer and for many their only chance of survival is a blood stem cell donation from a matching donor. Finding a match can be very hard and many people are not successful. Anyone aged between 17-55 and in good general health can register with us. It costs £40 to register each new potential donor and we rely entirely on voluntary contributions to fund our lifesaving work.
