Feedback Madagascar wants to create 12 new boreholes giving 3,000 people in Madagascar access to fresh water for life. By giving £10, you give one person in Madagascar fresh water forever.
Only 14% of the rural population of Madagascar has access to clean water, and as a result, Hepatitis and Typhoid are widespread and 20% of children under 5 die from diarrhoeal disease.
Access to clean water means:
People no longer have to walk for miles to the nearest dirty stream to collect water
The risk of disease is significantly reduced which is one of the main reasons l infant mortality is at 20%
Communities spend less time collecting water, freeing up time for productive work and education.

Clean water for life for £10 is great value for money (my water company is on track to charge each member of my household over £5,000 for a lifetime's incoming water!)

Jamie, I am hoping this rather small donation will get your parents off my back; they are understandably seeking compensation for the dreadful inconvenience of having my difficult and ancient mother to stay for weeks. However, this is a much better cause - good for you.
