Today our forests face a great threat.
The climate is changing faster than nature can adapt. If our forests don’t have a future, we don’t have a future. But it’s not too late to take action and protect them for generations to come.
For just £10 a square metre you could help Forestry England to grow and protect the nation’s forests in four wonderful ways:
1. Create new forests
You could help buy land to plant brand new forests from scratch – and increase tree coverage in England. We need more forests in England to provide vital spaces for people to relax and enjoy and for children to learn about nature and build memories they will cherish forever. Together we can reduce the decline in our forests and make sure that future generations are surrounded by more areas of forest than we are today.
2. Help the forests you love to thrive
You could help to nurture and restore frail forests across England – making them more diverse, resilient and better for wildlife. Forests do better when we give them a helping hand. We make sure the forests in our care contain a wide range of healthy trees, which in turn support millions of different species of wildlife – from fungi to insects, birds, reptiles and mammals.
3. Rebuild forests weakened by disease
You could help stop the spread of diseases – and replace damaged trees. With your help, we can monitor areas of forest more effectively to spot threats sooner and we can replace damaged areas of forests with new, more resilient species – re-establishing much-needed homes for wildlife.
4. Establish wild areas
You could help us in our ambition to designate wild areas of forest. In these special places, natural process will be restored, providing homes for even more wildlife, including species that are long-forgotten in the British landscape such as beavers and pine martens.

Why donate to Forestry England?
We care for more land and trees than any other organisation in England. We work across the country to care for local spaces that whole communities can enjoy. From small woodlands on the fringes of towns and cities, to vast areas like the ancient New Forest – for over 100 years we have been growing, shaping and caring for more than 1,500 of our nation’s forests.
Although we are a public body and not a charity, we receive limited public funding and generate most of our revenue ourselves. For more information visit the Forestry England website.
