Friends of TS Queen Mary is restoring the historic British steamship, TS Queen Mary.
Royal Patron - HRH The Princess Royal
Patron - Robbie Coltrane OBE
TS Queen Mary is one of the most famous ships in Britain.
Built in 1933, she carried King George VI, The Queen Mother, The Princess Elizabeth, The Princess Margaret and Mrs Eleanor Roosevelt.
In her retirement, in London, many famous people went aboard her, including Dame Judy Dench, Sir Michael Caine, Geoffrey Palmer and Robbie Coltrane OBE.
TS Queen Mary now is the last of her kind in the world and is on the Core 40 list of the UK's National Historic Ship Register.
Having saved the Queen Mary from being scrapped, in 2015, we have so far raised and invested £3M GBP in the project.
Once complete, our vision is that TS Queen Mary will be a 5* visitor attraction that everyone in Britain can be proud of. She will enhance what is offered on our rivers, but will be a unique “must see” destination in her own right, allowing visitors to experience the values, heritage, design and culture of the art-deco 1930s.
