In 2022, if all who attended The Hootie had donated £1 each, we would have raised £30,000. In reality, the donations totalled less than 10% of this.
The Hanwell Hootie Music Festival is a FREE one day event held each May in Hanwell, West London. We are a not for profit festival run entirely by volunteers from all sections of society and are a registered community interest company. We believe strongly that everyone should have the opportunity to experience real live music. We pay all our musicians a fee to play as we understand how hard it is for bands to get a platform to perform in London. We showcase young talent on our designated youth stage giving the young people a unique opportunity to gain vital stage experience. The Hootie also brings huge footfall to the town centre supporting local independent businesses as well as fostering a strong sense of community cohesion.
By supporting the Hanwell Hootie, you will be directly contributing to the promotion of live music, supporting working artists, independent businesses and keeping the Hootie going!

I have performed in previous hooties, with my band 'i love thunder' as I was the drummer. (Band with learning disabilities) Unfortunately, band manager sadly left. Guessing due to personal reasons. I did not see the hootie 24 this year. I'm sure it was successful. Let's make hootie 25 much louder, and set the volume up to 20!

We bloody love the Hootie! This year was absolutely brilliant - everything from the bands to the security guards we encountered. But we did miss the meadow as an open space, especially for the kids. Thank you to all those who organise it. And looking forward to the next one already!

I will really miss you this year, Hanwell Hootie! My first Hootie last year was one of my live music/festival highlights of 2019 and I was so proud that this happened locally (I live in W13). I went with my ex and we made a day of it and both discovered new bands we loved (him so much, he ended up travelling to the Netherlands, home of Amber Arcades!). I also was inspired to DJ again and hope to DJ at a future Hootie. I hope you have resources to do a live festival again next year. Much love to you all and
