Historic Chapels Trust cares for a remarkable collection of 20 of the most significant non-Anglican chapels in England, no longer regularly used for worship by their congregations. They tell the fascinating story of religious diversity over the last 300 years.
Historic Chapels Trust is the place of last resort for these chapels. We rescued many of them from a parlous state and continue to care for them by offering advice on their conservation, undertaking essential repairs and working closely with the committees at each chapel to create activities and uses to engage their local communities.
Our chapels have been places of solace and inspiration for so many people in the most difficult of times. We are determined to care for these vital strands of our heritage and we hope you will help us to do so by:
