Melvich Community SCIO is currently working towards the provision of a new community hub for the village of Melvich in Sutherland

Melvich Community SCIO was registered as a charity on 29th April 2021 and supersedes the charity Melvich Village Hall Association (MVHA). Our charitable object is “To provide, or assist in the provision of, facilities for the recreation of other leisure-time occupation, in the interest of social welfare in an effort to improve the conditions of life of the inhabitants of the district of Bighouse, Melvich, Portskerra, Golval and Kirkton, all in the Parish of Farr.” We own the land that the former Melvich Village Hall was located on and we are looking to fund raise to construct a new fit for purpose multi-functional multi-generational inclusive community hub for the long term benefit of our community.
