Strand Arts Centre's vision is for an inclusive and inspiring arts venue where heritage, creativity and community come together.

Strand Arts Centre is located in Northern Ireland’s only remaining Art Deco cinema, but we’re not just the pictures anymore. Our year-round programme of creative activities and events are strategically designed to remove barriers to engagement and address the needs of our local community. With a 10-year track record of year-on-year increases in audience numbers and activities, the outcome has been a wide range of positive social impacts – from educational film clubs and workshops to confidence-nurturing performing arts classes, dementia-friendly screenings and much more. We have demonstrated the appetite for a completely refurbished arts centre and cinema. However, major refurbishment is required to secure the building’s long-term future.
