Strand Arts Centre is located in Northern Ireland’s only remaining Art Deco cinema, but we’re not just the pictures anymore.
Our year-round programme of creative activities and events are strategically designed to remove barriers to engagement and address the needs of our local community. With a 10-year track record of year-on-year increases in audience numbers and activities, the outcome has been a wide range of positive social impacts – from educational film clubs and workshops to confidence-nurturing performing arts classes, dementia-friendly screenings and much more.
We have demonstrated the appetite for a completely refurbished arts centre and cinema. However, major refurbishment is required to secure the building’s long-term future.
