The Abbey Church is an active parish church and the last resting place of Robert the Bruce

The Abbey Church is the home of an active congregation, who are proud to continue worship on a site established by St Margaret of Scotland almost 950 years ago. Donating allows us to continue to offer ministry in Dunfermline and welcome over 35,000 people every year to discover the Abbey’s place in Scotland’s rich history. It currently costs £558 per day to keep and maintain the Ministry of the historic Dunfermline Abbey which is wholly met by members of the congregation and donations from visitors.
