Abbotsford welcomes over 300,000 visitors a year to Scott’s historic estate, many of them in the company of their four-legged friends who enjoy the beautiful woodlands and facilities.
Support The Abbotsford Trust
As an independent charity, we rely on the financial support of our friends, neighbours and visitors to care for Abbotsford and safeguard Sir Walter Scott’s legacy, as well as to provide learning opportunities for people of all ages and abilities in our local community and to support our award-winning volunteer programme.
Buying a coffee from Rhymer's Rest, a book from the Visitor Centre, or a ticket to wander around Scott's conundrum castle all help towards the running costs of the estate, but we also rely on the generous donations from visitors and supporters.
If you are able to consider it you can help safeguard Scott’s Abbotsford for future generations, you can make a donation online by using the DONATE button at the top of the page.
Or you can donate by text* (SMS) if you prefer:
To donate £3, text SCOTT261 to 70331
To donate £5, text SCOTT261 to 70970
To donate £10, text SCOTT261 to 70191
Thank you for your support, it is very much appreciated. As Sir Walter Scott said:
"Yet to save Abbotsford I would attempt all that was possible. My heart clings to the place I have created. There is scarce a tree on it that does not owe its being to me."
Fundraising, payments and donations will be processed and administered by the National Funding Scheme, operating as DONATE, a charity registered in England and Wales (1149800) and Scotland (SC045106). In addition to any text donation, you will incur your standard network message charge (based on your service provider rates). For Terms & Conditions, see www.easydonate.org
