For 20 years we have looked after this historic place for our local community. Please donate and help us to keep our doors open for many years to come
The Green Estate Community Interest Company is a not for profit organisation who grow engaging, adaptive and resilient urban places. Over the last 20 years we have turned a 14 hectare abandoned wasteland into a beautiful well used landscape and visitor experience. The scheduled ancient monument where Mary Queen of Scots was imprisoned is now enjoyed by local families and school children from across the country, the old farm buildings are now a popular cafe and wedding venue, and we have grown gorgeous Pictorial Meadows where once 150 burnt out vehicles a year were abandoned. We also provide a centre for local people to drop their green waste which we turn into peat-free compost, host several community enterprises and provide amazing training, employment research and volunteer opportunities for people interested heritage and landscaping.
Please donate if you can and help us to keep our doors open for many years to come!
