Visually impaired students from the Royal National College for the Blind are planning an exciting 12-hour spinathon on campus in Hereford to raise funds to support a big birthday bash this Spring, celebrating 150 years of their specialist further education college (RNC) and to support the charity generally. The Spinathon is planned for 10am to 10pm on Friday, 28 January 2022 (current covid19 rules will be in place) and will kick off a year of exciting activities and events to mark the RNC's milestone birthday and the many thousands of people with a VI it has helped since 1872. Planning, fundraising for and organising the Big Birthday Bash will help students test and develop their organisational, communication and business skills which are all part of an intensive curriculum that supports them into higher education, careers and volunteering in their own communities after they leave RNC.
